Dermal Filler

Possible Side Effects
A client might experience several reactions (redness, itching, swelling, or painful sensations at the initial injection site. There may be bruises, hematomas, edema, vessel embolism, necrosis, and allergic reactions. Fibrosis of the skin, face asymmetry, and lack of effect. Cold sore reactivation, discoloration or tenderness and infection.
Fortunately, these side effects have a temporary character. They tend to fade away in two or five days after the administration of the dermal filler. They typically do not require any medical supervision.

Aftercare Instructions
Immediately after injection: Do not touch the area with unclean hands. Do not disturb or use the area for a couple of days. Apply an ice pack on the injection site for up to 10 minutes at a time. Refrain from touching or tweezing your lips, as well as, kissing and sipping from a straw. Be careful when brushing your teeth. Drink plenty of water. You may experience burning pain, redness, swelling, itching, and unpleasant sensations. These symptoms may last for 2-5 days. (Normal and intermittent for up to 2 weeks).
After Treatment recommendations to prolong the results: Stay away from any direct sun exposure and apply sun protection cream to the injection site. Do not exercise for the first 48 hours after the treatment. Avoid the sources of excessive heat (such as hot bathtubs, saunas, and swimming pools) for 24 hours. You can apply ice for the first 2 days. Take Tylenol for pain relief every 4-6 hours as needed it. Apply arnica gel (OTC supplement for swelling and bruising), 2 to 3 times a day. Keep lips or area treated hydrated with Aquaphor ointment. Do not apply makeup or lip products for 24 hours. Place fresh sheets and pillowcases for sleeping and do not let animals sleep in your bed. You can massage the treated area after a few days or when the bruising disappears. Contact us if you have excessive pain, discoloration, or mottled looking skin.
