Micro-Needling
It’s epidermal growth factor (EGF), is a polypeptide naturally present in the skin. It is essential in mediating cell growth and repair, which is crucial for maintaining the skin. Just as our skin’s elasticity diminishes, levels of EGF in our body decreases as we age. This promotes the signs of aging such as, fine lines, wrinkles, and loose, saggy skin. EGF combats this by stimulating fibroblasts, or collagen and elastin producing cells, to do their job: it improves the skin from the inside out.
What are the benefits?
Delays physical signs of aging, erases wrinkles, maintains moisture in the skin, effectively permeates cells, repairs, and regenerates the epidermis, and diminishes age spots.

Pre-Treatment Guidelines
Aftercare Instructions
- The inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short and fades significantly within hours from redness to pinkish that may last for 12 to 48 hours. To reduce visible redness, use hyaluronic acid after the procedure, and protect the skin with zinc-based sunblock. The use of mineral makeup is recommended after the procedure.
- On the day of the treatment, a repairing cream is applied to relieve inflammation and begin the repair process. You may re-apply this repairing cream as often as you wish to relieve any discomfort, but you may not wear anything else on your skin, not even sunscreen, after treatment the first day.
- Typically, a day or two is all it takes before your skin returns to normal. Recovery time depends on the depth of the treatment. The deeper the needles penetrate the skin, the longer the recovery time, where you may see some light peeling. You can wear sunscreen and makeup the day after treatment.
- On day two, you may use your normal cleansing routine, but if you are feeling any sensitivity, please skip any active serums or treatment products until you are no longer sensitive. Zinc-based sunscreen is always a must beginning the day after treatment.
