For injections wait the following time periods. Botox and dermal filler wait 3-4 weeks, can be done beforehand. Pacemakers, current medication for a procedure involving the following : cortisone, steroids treatment and photosensitive drugs and herbs such as, psoralen and St. John’s Wort.

- Edema and erythema can occur following treatment but will resolve in a few hours.
- Overly aggressive technique can cause mild flaking over the next 3-4 days. Epidermis that is treated too aggressively can lead to bleeding in the superficial dermis.
- Once the treatment is completed, cool the treated skin surface by applying cold towels or a hydration mask. Continue until then skin becomes cool.
- After the treatment, skin may experience some redness and warmth, which is normal after an abrasive treatment.
- Advise clients not to use other abrasive products on the skin to avoid adverse reactions.
- Remember to apply sunscreen lotion after treatment to protect the skin from UV light.
